More Album tArt design inspiration. Rows and rows and rows of album art to discover and inspire! Nothing beats the real thing, hopefully Album tArt will fill the digital fix between visits to your local record shop.

Ok, so you may have noticed a new flash coverflow-eque viewer on the main page of Album tArt. This is not just eye-candy (though it is so so pretty). We’re working on making this a latest activity viewer. It will display the latest comments, ratings, and collecting on the site.

Above is a mock-up of how I was thinking of integrating the activity into the album display. I thought including a thumbnail of the user image would be nice to spotlight the user, and then displaying a selection of the comment, the rating, or the shelf icon (well, not really an icon…) to quickly communicate what action took place. I think we could display the user’s name in a tool-tip when the profile image is rolled over.

I think really long album names could become problematic, but we could truncate them, OR eliminate them completely and have them only show up when user’s roll over the album image. Thoughts? Ideas of how to expand this to include more behavior or display more content?

That sticker peels is so fresh…but it looks real familiar. Did you design this album Jason?
